Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology taping technique is the application of elastic adhesive sports tape designed for pain relief and support. It is applied along muscle, ligaments and tendons to provide external structural support, which allows you to remain active while recovering from strain and injury.

K-tape provides 24-hour relief per application for days at a time through sweat, strain, humidity, activity and water. It is lightweight, comfortable and flexible. Commonly used to manage hundreds of common sports and repetitive strain injuries. K-tape is manufactured from specifically engineered, ultra-durable, synthetic fabric that provides stable support without restricting movement. It’s unique matrix mesh and adhesive backing allows for moisture release caused by sweating or water exposure so that it can be worn for days at a time without irritation or reaction with the skin. K-Tape works by creating neuromuscular feedback called proprioception. Depending on how it is applied, K-tape will either inhibit (relax) or facilitate (strengthen) the firing of muscle and tendons. This feedback resets muscle memory and allows a structure to heal and perform without the bulk or restriction commonly associated with wraps or heavy bracing.
