Reflexology

Since the early 1900’s, reflexology has been found to be a safe, effective and non-invasive alternative therapy. Reflexologyapplies focused pressure to the feet based on the principle that there are zones and reflexes in the foot which correspond to all parts of the body including glands, organs and entire body systems.

When the reflexes on the bottom of the feet are stimulated, deposits in the foot are broken up and the body's natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to clear any blockages in the corresponding zones. Manipulating specific reflexes on the bottom of the feet activates a deeply relaxing, parasympathetic response throughout the entire body. Optimal nerve flow and circulation are restored, allowing the body to return to homeostasis. 

Homeostasis is the automatic process that the body incorporates to bring it back to its optimal functioning state. The body has the remarkable ability to heal itself. Following illness, stress, injury or disease, the body is in a state of “imbalance” and vital body systems can be blocked, preventing the body from functioning optimally.
